Trapped at Sea

A storm. A shipwreck. An island that isn't as empty as it seems.

  • Point-and-click escape
  • Chapters 1–3 of 6
  • PC
  • In development
Coming soon to Steam

In development, ahead of its Steam release. Six chapters planned, with Chapters 1–3 playable so far.

The story (no spoilers)

A storm came out of nowhere.

You're a sailor with a dry sense of humor and a small fishing trawler. Then the storm hits. You fix the navigation, fight the wheel, and lose. When you wake up, “the storm is gone like it was never here. My ship wasn't so lucky.”

On the island you find an old castaway's journal, a cave painting nobody can explain, and signs that someone else lives deeper in the jungle. If there are people here, they must have a way off this rock. And whatever is behind that wall has been waiting a long time.

Chapters

From a storm-tossed boat to whatever lies past the wall

Six chapters are planned, with Chapters 1–3 playable so far. The game is in development, ahead of its Steam release. Over 45 rooms to explore already.

  1. The trawler’s wooden bridge, rain streaking the windows.

    Chapter 1

    The Storm & Shipwrecked

“This storm came out of nowhere! I'd better get to the bridge.” Four rooms aboard a boat that's coming apart, then seven on an island that doesn't want you to leave: beaches, a cave, the jungle, and a cabin in the woods.

  2. A fork in the jungle dirt paths with a small red-roofed building in the distance.

    Chapter 2

    Welcome to the Jungle

Locked out of the cabin, there's no way to go but forward. Explore an old groundskeeper's grounds across seventeen rooms, get past the jaguar guarding the path, and strike a deal with a monkey who knows a fair trade when he sees one.

  3. A vine-covered concrete wall with a barred gate.

    Chapter 3

    The Menagerie

Eighteen rooms on the other side of the wall. We're not saying any more than that. You'll have to see for yourself.

  4. Next

    To be continued...

Chapters 4 to 6 are on the way.

Comic cutscenes

KRA-KOOM! CRUNCH! SLAM!

Four-panel comics with lettered sound effects carry you between chapters.

Storm comic: lightning outside the bridge windows, rocks dead ahead, the wheel straining, and the trawler crunching into the rocks.
“Rocks! Dead ahead!”
Jungle comic: a cabin door creaks open onto endless jungle, slams shut, and rattles uselessly. “It’s locked... I’m trapped!” Glowing eyes watch from the bushes.
“It's locked... I'm trapped!”

In the jungle
Gather planks for a ladder, build a bow to cross a collapsed bridge, and slip past a jaguar.
